198 years ago a former Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge started building a mechanical computer, If completed at that time, it would have contained 25,000 parts, weighed fifteen tons and have been 8 ft tall. However it was not completed until 1991. Moral: some guys are way ahead of their time
